Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the apple cider, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and whisk until combined.
  5. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a donut comes out clean.
  8. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
