Ingredients:
- 4 medium yams, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- Salt to taste
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, bourbon, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Add the cubed yams to the bowl and toss until well coated.
- Transfer the yams to a greased baking dish and spread them out evenly.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the yams are tender and caramelized, stirring occasionally.
