Total Time: 48 minutes

Serving Size: Serves 12

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk, sugar, melted butter, salt, egg, and 1 cup of flour. Mix well.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and gradually mix in the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin triangle.
  7. Spread softened butter over each triangle and roll up starting from the wide end to form a crescent shape.
  8. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  10. Bake the rolls for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!
