Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup brewed chai tea, cooled
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon bourbon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix buttermilk, chai tea, vegetable oil, bourbon, vanilla extract, and egg until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners and bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Let cupcakes cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until smooth.
- Stir in chopped pecans, vanilla extract, and milk until frosting reaches desired consistency.
- Frost cooled cupcakes with butter pecan frosting.
