Ingredients:
- 8 slices rye bread
- 1 pound corned beef, sliced
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup Russian or Thousand Island dressing
- 4 tablespoons butter
Directions:
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.
- On the unbuttered side of 4 slices, layer corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and dressing.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
- Flip the sandwiches carefully and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted, about another 4-5 minutes.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately.
