For The Green Beans
Ingredients:
- Peanut oil for frying
- 1 lb fresh green beans trimmed
- 10 oz beer
- 1 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- pinch cayenne pepper
For The Wasabi Dip
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 1 tsp wasabi paste
Directions:
- Mix mayo and wasabi paste in a small mixing bowl until combined and set aside.
- Line a baking sheet with paper towels and top with a wire cooling rack. Set aside.
- Heat 1-2 inches of peanut oil in a large heavy-bottomed pot (like a dutch oven), until 375 F degrees.
- Whisk together beer, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder and cayenne. Dip green beans in batter and fry in batches, a few minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Remove green beans and place on prepared baking sheet.
