Crispy Honey Fried Chicken BLT

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 slices of toasted bread
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions:

  1. Marinate the chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat each piece in the flour mixture.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Place the coated chicken thighs in the air fryer basket and spray with olive oil.
  6. Air fry for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.
  7. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy.
  8. Assemble the sandwich by placing lettuce, tomato, fried chicken, and bacon between toasted bread.
  9. Drizzle honey over the top before closing the sandwich.
