Ingredients:
- 8 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
Directions:
- Melt chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks with sugar until pale and thick. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the egg yolk mixture, stirring constantly.
