Serving Size: Serves 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine bread flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C).
  6. Grease a rectangular baking pan with olive oil. Stretch and press the dough into the pan, making sure it reaches the edges.
  7. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, then layer with pepperoni and finish with Parmesan cheese and oregano.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then cut into squares and serve.
