Serving Size: Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
- 2 cups bread flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Directions:
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine bread flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C).
- Grease a rectangular baking pan with olive oil. Stretch and press the dough into the pan, making sure it reaches the edges.
- Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, then layer with pepperoni and finish with Parmesan cheese and oregano.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then cut into squares and serve.
