Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the cold butter pieces to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the milk and chocolate chips until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together.
