Egg-Topped Ham and Cheese Sandwich (Croque Tartine Parisienne)

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tbsp of butter
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on the unbuttered side of 2 bread slices.
  4. Top each with another bread slice, buttered side up.
