  • 1 (6 to 7 pounds) bone-in prime rib roast
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).

  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 325°F (165°C).
  6. Continue roasting for about 2 to 2.5 hours, or until a meat thermometer reads your desired doneness (135°F (57°C) for medium-rare or 145°F (63°C) for medium).
