Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the buttermilk and honey until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for 1-2 minutes until it comes together.
  6. Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits with a round cutter.
  7. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, close together but not touching.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  9. Cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
