Ingredients:
- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 orange, zested and juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
- Rinse the cranberries under cold water and remove any stems or damaged berries.
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, and orange juice. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Add the cranberries, orange zest, cinnamon, and salt to the saucepan.
- Return to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
