Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, minced jalapeño, chopped cilantro, and minced garlic.
  2. Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Mix all ingredients gently until well combined.
  5. Let the salsa sit for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos.
