Mediterranean Lamb Gyro with Tzatziki Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lamb meat, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 4 pita bread rounds
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup diced cucumbers
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lamb slices with olive oil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, diced cucumbers, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to make the tzatziki sauce. Refrigerate until ready to use.
