This surprisingly simple recipe yields incredibly flavorful and tender results. A chuck roast is slow-cooked with a unique combination of savory and tangy ingredients: ranch seasoning mix, au jus gravy mix, pepperoncini peppers, and butter. The result is melt-in-your-mouth beef with a rich and flavorful gravy. Serve it over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for a truly comforting meal. Serving Size: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 chuck roast, 3-5 pounds, tied
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 pack of dry ranch dressing
  • ½ dozen or more pickled pepperoncini peppers.

Directions:

  1. Place the chuck roast in the bottom of the cooker (you can brown it first if you like).
  2. Place the stick of butter and the contents of the packaged dressing on top of the roast, and surround it with the peppers.
  3. Cover, and turn the slow cooker on low. Cook undisturbed for 8 – 10 hours.
