Norwegian Meatballs with Lingonberry Sauce

Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup lingonberry jam
Directions:
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, salt, black pepper, and allspice. Mix until well combined. (5 minutes)
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. (10 minutes)
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides. (10 minutes)
- Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer. (2 minutes)
- Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the broth for an additional 10 minutes, until cooked through. (10 minutes)
- Stir in lingonberry jam and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through. (3 minutes)
