Chocotejas are traditional Peruvian sweets made with a rich pecan filling coated in decadent chocolate. These treats are perfect for special occasions or as a sweet indulgence.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup pisco or rum
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Directions:
- In a food processor, pulse the pecans until finely ground.
- In a bowl, mix the ground pecans, sweetened condensed milk, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and pisco until well combined.
- Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small round balls. Place them on a lined baking sheet.
- In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Dip each pecan ball into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. Place back on the baking sheet.
- Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator for faster results.
