Ingredients:
- 1/4 Cup Unsalted Butter (Softened)
- 1 Teaspoon Herbs De Provence
- 1 Tablespoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 4 Pounds Prime Rib Roast
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
Directions:
- In a large dish, place rib roast and keep aside at room temperature for about 4 hours before cooking.
- Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.
- In a bowl, add butter, herbs de Provence and pepper and mix until well combined. Coat roast with butter mixture evenly and season with kosher salt generously.
- Arrange roast into a roasting pan and roast for 18-20 minutes. Turn the oven off, leaving roast in the oven with the door closed for 2 hours.
- Remove from oven and place the roast onto a cutting board for 10 minutes before slicing. Cut roast into desired sized slices and serve.
