Prime Rib is a classic holiday roast that's perfect for a special occasion. This recipe yields a juicy and tender prime rib with a flavorful crust. It's simple to make but will impress your guests with its deliciousness.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 Cup Unsalted Butter (Softened)
  • 1 Teaspoon Herbs De Provence
  • 1 Tablespoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 4 Pounds Prime Rib Roast
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt

Directions:

  1. In a large dish, place rib roast and keep aside at room temperature for about 4 hours before cooking.
  2. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.
  3. In a bowl, add butter, herbs de Provence and pepper and mix until well combined. Coat roast with butter mixture evenly and season with kosher salt generously.
  4. Arrange roast into a roasting pan and roast for 18-20 minutes. Turn the oven off, leaving roast in the oven with the door closed for 2 hours.
  5. Remove from oven and place the roast onto a cutting board for 10 minutes before slicing. Cut roast into desired sized slices and serve.
