Rocky Mountain Oysters with Spicy Dipping Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb bull testicles, cleaned and peeled
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Slice the cleaned bull testicles into 1/4 inch thick rings.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Dredge each slice in the flour mixture, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the coated testicle rings in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, hot sauce, and lemon juice to make the dipping sauce.
  8. Serve the fried Rocky Mountain oysters hot with the spicy dipping sauce.
