Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, thyme, rosemary, and black pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
  5. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of batter onto the pan to form each crumpet.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter.
