Sea Salted Caramel Fudge Milk Chocolate Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, heat sugar over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until it melts and turns amber in color.
  2. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously to avoid clumping.
  3. Add butter and sea salt, stir until well combined and smooth. Remove from heat.
  4. Pour the caramel mixture into a parchment-lined dish and refrigerate until set, about 1 hour.
  5. Once the caramel is firm, melt the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle additional sea salt on top for garnish.
  8. Chill the bars in the refrigerator until the chocolate is set, then cut into squares.
