Ingredients:
- 3 lbs beef brisket
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Wood chips for smoking
Directions:
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- Trim excess fat from the brisket and season with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Place the brisket in the smoker and smoke for about 5 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 190°F (88°C).
- Remove the brisket from the smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Cut the brisket into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large bowl.
- Mix the BBQ sauce and brown sugar into the bowl with the brisket cubes, coating them evenly.
- Transfer the coated burnt ends to a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Return the baking dish to the smoker and cook for an additional 1 to 1.5 hours at 250°F (121°C), until caramelized.
