Smoky BBQ Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and salt.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, covering them evenly.
  5. Wrap the ribs in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C).
  8. Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and return them to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.
  9. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
