Smoky Maple BBQ Ribs Slow Cooked on the Grill

Difficulty: MEDIUM

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 3 hours

Total Time: 3 hours 15 minutes

Serving Size: Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs baby back ribs
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together barbecue sauce, maple syrup, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the baby back ribs in a large resealable bag or container, pour the marinade over the ribs, and ensure the ribs are evenly coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill for indirect cooking at 250°F (120°C).
  4. Remove the ribs from the marinade and place them on the grill, away from direct heat. Close the lid and let the ribs slow cook for about 3 hours, turning occasionally.
  5. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, baste the ribs with additional barbecue sauce for extra flavor.
  6. Once the ribs are tender and cooked through, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
  7. Serve the smoky maple BBQ ribs with your favorite sides and enjoy!
