Spicy Mexican Chicken Tacos with Avocado Crema

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 avocado, mashed
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Hot sauce, for serving

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add chicken breasts to the bowl and coat them with the spice mixture. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side or until cooked through. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  4. In a small bowl, combine mashed avocado, sour cream, lime juice, and salt to make the avocado crema.
