Total Time: 40 minutes

Serving Size: Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 cup lingonberry preserves
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and allspice. Mix well and form into small meatballs.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the meatballs until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour to make a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in beef broth and heavy cream until smooth and thickened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in lingonberry preserves and cooked meatballs. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Toast slider buns in the oven until golden brown.
  7. Assemble sliders by placing a meatball on each bun, spooning extra sauce over the top, and garnishing with chopped parsley.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
