Tanghulu Berry Skewers

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Bamboo skewers

Directions:

  1. Wash and dry the strawberries and blueberries.
  2. Thread the fruits onto bamboo skewers, alternating between strawberries and blueberries.
  3. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Increase the heat and bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  5. Dip each skewer into the sugar syrup mixture, coating the fruits evenly.
  6. Place the skewers on a parchment-lined tray to cool and harden the sugar coating.
  7. Once the sugar coating has hardened, the Tanghulu berry skewers are ready to serve.
