Ingredients:

  • 4 cups dashi broth
  • 3 tablespoons miso paste
  • 1/2 cup silken tofu, cubed
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup wakame seaweed, rehydrated
  • 1 small carrot, julienned
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Directions:

  1. In a pot, bring the dashi broth to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  2. Add the soy sauce and sesame oil, stirring to combine.
  3. In a small bowl, dissolve the miso paste in a ladleful of hot broth, then return it to the pot.
  4. Add the cubed tofu, wakame, and julienned carrot to the pot.
  5. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes to heat through.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the sliced green onions just before serving.
