  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Blue food coloring
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Divide the batter in half and add blue food coloring to one half to create a vibrant blue batter.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (180°C).
  6. Carefully drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove the Tron cakes from the oil and drain on paper towels.
