Air Fryer Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cayenne, and salt.
  2. Add chicken cubes to marinade, coat well, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Place marinated chicken in the air fryer and cook for 15 minutes, turning halfway through.
  5. While chicken cooks, heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Sauté onions until translucent, add garlic and ginger, cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. Stir in tomato puree, simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. Add heavy cream and garam masala, mix well, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  9. Combine cooked chicken with the sauce, simmer for 5 minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
