Basil Burger on English Muffin

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 English muffins, split and toasted
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Sliced red onions
  • Mayonnaise and mustard for topping

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, chopped basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Form the seasoned beef mixture into 4 burger patties.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
