A unique and flavorful twist on traditional chili, Cincinnati Chili is served over spaghetti and topped with cheese and beans for a delicious comfort meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package spaghetti
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded (for serving)
  • Kidney beans, rinsed (for serving)
  • Chopped onions (for garnish)
  • Hot sauce (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in the beef broth, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, allspice, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to low. Let it cook uncovered for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. While the chili simmers, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  6. To serve, place a portion of spaghetti on a plate, top with Cincinnati chili, and garnish with shredded cheddar cheese, kidney beans, chopped onions, and hot sauce if desired.
