Democracy Sausage

Ingredients:

• 6 sausages
• 6 hot dog buns
• 1 onion, thinly sliced
• 1 red bell pepper, sliced
• 1 green bell pepper, sliced
• 1/4 cup ketchup
• 1/4 cup mustard
• Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
2. Grill the sausages for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
3. Toast the hot dog buns on the grill for a couple of minutes.
4. In a skillet, sauté the sliced onion and bell peppers until softened and slightly caramelized.
5. In a small bowl, mix together ketchup and mustard.
6. Place a grilled sausage in each bun, top with sautéed onions and peppers, drizzle with the ketchup-mustard mixture, and season with salt and pepper.
7. Serve the democracy sausages hot and enjoy!
