German Chocolate Bundt Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.
  6. Fold in the shredded coconut, chopped pecans, and chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
