Ingredients:
- 4 bratwurst sausages
- 1 bottle of beer (preferably lager or ale)
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hot dog buns
- Mustard and sauerkraut for serving
Directions:
- In a large bowl, combine the beer, sliced onions, minced garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
- Add the bratwurst sausages to the beer marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the bratwursts from the marinade and grill for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
- While the brats are grilling, toast the hot dog buns on the grill until lightly browned.
