Grilled Beer Brats

Difficulty: EASY

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Serving Size: Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 bratwurst sausages
  • 1 bottle of beer (preferably lager or ale)
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • Mustard and sauerkraut for serving

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the beer, sliced onions, minced garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
  2. Add the bratwurst sausages to the beer marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the bratwursts from the marinade and grill for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
  4. While the brats are grilling, toast the hot dog buns on the grill until lightly browned.
  5. Serve the grilled beer brats in the toasted buns with mustard and sauerkraut on the side. Enjoy!
