Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups pecan halves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
- Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the egg until the mixture forms a dough.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- Stir in the pecan halves until well coated.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the crust in the baking pan.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the filling is set and golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
