Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups pecan halves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut in the chilled butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the egg until the mixture forms a dough.
  5. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  7. Stir in the pecan halves until well coated.
  8. Pour the pecan mixture over the crust in the baking pan.
  9. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the filling is set and golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
