Ingredients:
- 1 cup almond paste
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp milk
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together almond paste, sugar, and butter until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in almond extract.
- Gradually mix in flour and salt to form a dough.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
